On November 5, 2013, the Dubai International Motor Show 2013 opened at Dubai World Trade Center. GWM showed up with a strong lineup of 7 models. Of these models, Great Wall M4, Great Wall H6, Wingle 5 Upgrade and the special limousine Great Wall π made their debut in Dubai. GWM's participation theme extended its brand concept of "focus, dedication, specialization".

As the largest and most influential professional national exhibition in the Middle East, the Dubai International Motor Show attracted nearly 100 automakers from over 20 countries. As China's largest SUV and pickup manufacturer, GWM put on display seven models covering Great Wall SUV, Great Wall passenger car and Wingle pickup. All exhibits are GWM's key models for sale.

GWM has developed in the Middle East for 16 years. After participating in the Dubai International Motor Show 2011, GWM made strong appearance with seven exhibits again and five new models this time, showing its great attention to the Middle East market.

As a star model of GWM, Great Wall H6 is the quintessence of GWM's building concept and technical innovation. With an ultra-long wheelbase of 2,680mm, up to C-NCAP five-star safety standard, it features leading configurations such as keyless entry system, keyless star system, vehicle stability control system, etc. Since its launch, Great Wall H6 has drawn close attention, sold very well and often fallen short of demand. It registered sales of 149,900 units in China in the first nine months of 2013 and sales of 21,000 units in September, up 46 percent and 40 percent year on year respectively. Great Wall SUV has retained the Chinese SUV sales title for ten straight years, ranked top in monthly sales and outperformed joint venture brands like CRV and Tiguan many times.

Another star model Great Wall C30 has won Whole Vehicle Type Approval. Featuring safety equipment like Autoliv dual airbags and four-wheel disc brake, as well as configuration like Bosch intelligent start/stop system, the series balances quality with safety perfectly. Since its launch, Great Wall C30 has won favor from a lot of consumers, moved in the "camp of 100,000 units" within only 10 months and been honored as "CCTV Compact Passenger Vehicle of 2010". With a firm quality line and clear car appeal, it has ranked among "China's 10 Best-sold Class A Cars" for many times since its launch.

The primary reason for GWM's participation in the exhibition is that the Middle East is its key export market as well as one of its earliest export destinations. In the Middle East, GWM has exported products to countries like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, UAE and Oman, with annual sales of over 10,000 units. As a Chinese leading independent automaker, despite various tests like global financial crisis and regional political turbulence, GWM has never shaken its belief in taking roots in the Middle East over the 16 years since entering the market. For years, according to the characteristics of the Middle East market, GWM has kept improving products and services, and implemented the business strategy of blending into the local market, thus gaining recognition from terminal consumers and laying a solid foundation for its future development in the market.
