In the afternoon of November 19, 2013, the award ceremony for "Forbes Asian-Pacific's 50 best listed Companies 2013" organized by the renowned US financial magazine Forbes took place at Regent Hotel Beijing. Chinese mainland enterprises remained dominant on the list with a total of 20 places. After 2011 and 2012, GWM made the list once again.

The enterprises listed were selected from over 1,000 Asian-Pacific companies in nearly 30 countries with revenues or a market capital of at least over 3 billion US dollars each on the basis of their revenues, profit, ROIC, stock price movement and outlook. These enterprises have solid financial performance as well as outstanding management and business skills. GWM was listed with a market value of 19.3 billion US dollars and sales of 6.6 billion US dollars.

GWM was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2003 and the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2011. Since its listing, GWM has operated steadily in various markets and achieved brilliant results. GWM registered operating revenues of 40.775 billion yuan in the first nine months of 2013, up 38.39 percent. By late September 2013, its total assets had reached 48.279 billion yuan. In the first ten months, GWM achieved cumulative sales of 621,500 units, up 26 percent year on year. According to an industry insider, GWM's sustained and steady growth amid the "micro growth" of the auto market has been attributable to its moderate operation and strategy of focus. Besides, ever-upgraded models and quality improvement are other major contributors to GWM's sales growth.

GWM seeks to grow steadily rather than rapidly and values sustainability more,” Wei Jianjun, chairman of GWM, said in an interview. GWM’s low profile and steady growth has been a major feature of its business success.

Since the beginning of 2013, GWM has been ranked among "Forbes Global 1000" and “Fortune China 500". Also, it has made the list of "2013 Hurun China Brand List" and won honors like "Most Valuable Chinese Auto Brands" and "2013 China's Top 10 Characteristic Brands.
