Recently, China Automotive Industry Association released the 2015 ranking of major automobiel enterprises in terms of sales volumes. GWM, with sales of 852,700 units ranks 8th among national automakers. GWM SUV and pickup won national sales champions in the two segments once again.

Sales of GWM Has Been Increasing and Has Doubled in the Recent Five Years 

In recent years, GWM has maintained a rapid growth trend. The remarkable achievements of GWM are closely linked with its “focus” strategy. The annual sales volume of GWM in 2010 was just 397,400, however, the figure doubled in 2015, creating a miracle of sales growth of Chinese brands.

GWM is the first to put forward “segment focus” among Chinese automakers. Starting from focusing on pickup, SUV and sedan, GWM, after deep and detailed market investigations and product planning, raised the independent brand, HAVAL in 2013, focuses on SUV R&D. With time passing by, the focus of GWM has been constantly upgraded, deepened and detailed to every segment of SUV market. Up to now, HAVAL has won the SUV market champion for 13 years in a row. In adiditon, GWM has produced various products including HAVAL H1, HAVAL H2 and HAVAL H6 and formed a SUV product matrix of great market competitiveness. GWM has also obtained the champion in sales of domestic pickup for 18 years in a row based on hot selling of Wingle series, which has consolidated its leading position of China's pickup market. 

Focusing on R&D to Manufacture State-of-Art Automobiles through Domestic and Overseas Cooperation 

GWM has always regarded “leading tecchnology” as the core strategy of the company and has built the core technical capability of its own and produced products with leading market competitiveness by enlarging research and development investment and cultivation of technical talents.

On January 12, GWM opened its first overseas technology R&D center in Japan, which is a milestone for GWM in integrating global superior resources.


For many years, led by the “go global” strategy, GWM has been intensifying international technological cooperation and investing a lot of resources in the establishment of overseas R&D centers. It has signed strategic agreements with numerous world-renowned companies such as ZF and BorgWarner for cooperation in fields they have resource advantage. GWM has also invested heavily in building the International Automotive Parts Industrial Park and HAVAL Technology Center, and has built the largest domestic environmental wind tunnel laboratory as well as a world leading high-altitude environment simulation laboratory.

As for R&D achievements, GWM is capable of doing the research and development of core components including the engine, the transmission and the chassis. Engines GW4G15T, GW4D20 and GW4C20 launched in recent years are the winners of “China Heart” 10 Best Enginers of the year. What's more, GW4C20 gasoline engine is world leading through authentication of industrial experts, which has accumulated lots of experience and foundation for GWM and even Chinese brands to advance to a higher level. Unmanned driving, brain control automobiles and IOV technologies exhibited in the 5th science and technology festival of 2015 will also be industrialized in the future so that customers will enjoy life style of “intelligent + interconnection”.

With Credible Services, GWM has Won Three Champions of Customer Satisfaction

Outstanding performance is closely linked with vigorous innovation in marketing strategy, transformation of service modes and stable promotion of the terminal market in the recent five years. 

GWM took the lead to transfer its focus to automobile aftermarket in 2012 and transferred from “market leading” to “simultaneous development of market and customer satisfaction”, which has won the battle of “win the terminal”. HAVAL brand ranked the first with a score of 73.3 in the “2015 satisfaction investigation of automobile distributors” initiated by All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; GWM obtained three champions in terms of customer satisfaction and HAVAL brand obtained the champion of sales service satisfaction of independent brand in the “2015 customer satisfaction investigation of automobile industry” initiated by China Quality Association. It can be said that it is GWM’s integrate operation and credible services that have touched consumers and creates its own reputation when attracting customers.
