According to the latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in the first half of 2013, both of the output and sales of the Chinese auto market exceeded 10 million units, with a 10 percent year on year growth, about 50 percent of key automakers fell short of half of sales targets. In the first six months, GWM sold a total of 367,900 units, with a 32 percent year on year growth, ranking 8th in the industry and over-fulfilling its semiannual sales target, and 56,900 units monthly sales in June, with a growth of 19 percent year on year.

Remarkably, 186,600 Haval SUV units were sold in China, with a growth of 70.7 percent year on year. After an elaborate analysis, it is easy to figure out that GWM's sales growth has been attributable to the outstanding market performance of star models like Haval H6, M4 and Great Wall C30. Haval H6 registered sales of 88,800 units in the first six months as the only Chinese model on a par with joint venture models; M4 has gained a stable foothold in the mainstream SUV market with sales of 58,700 units; Great Wall C30 achieved semiannual sales of 71,400 units, continuing its lead over other sedan models priced between 50,000 yuan and 80,000 yuan.

According to an industrial analysis, amid the ups and downs of the Chinese auto market in the first six months, the share of Chinese auto brands has shrunk gradually, GWM made a strong comeback because it concentrated on the focus strategy, seized the dividend from the booming of the SUV market and even created an independent brand--Haval. Now, GWM has been reputed in the industry for its great attention to R & D and its product quality has been soaring in constant innovation. In the favorable sales situation, GWM does not settle for sales increase, but places after-sales service improvement high on the agenda of brand development, implements the customer-oriented policy, takes various measures in parallel, intensifies presales and after-sales management, and boosts distributors' service level to achieve the goal of "customer satisfaction".

GWM's outstanding business performance has been recognized by authorities and the media. It was ranked "1st among China's Top 100 Listed Companies" by a listed company evaluation group composed of entities like China United International Holdings Co., Ltd. and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and was listed among "2013 Hurun China's 10 Characteristic Brands" as the only automaker. Besides, among Chinese automakers, only GWM, SAIC Motor and DFMC made the Forbes Global 1000 list released this year.
