The countdown to the debut of Tianjin base

The Phase I construction in Tianjin is now nearing completion and will be put into use in March. The production line has been basically completed and is undergoing final commissioning. Various new models including HAVAL H6 and VOLEEX C50 will be produced there.

The world's most cutting-edge technologies and informatization equipment are introduced to Tianjin project. The stamping workshop uses the Swiss ABB six-axis automated production lines. The welding workshop uses the robot grabbing assembly system. The painting workshop uses spraying systems imported from YASKAWA in Japan and SAMES in France. The assembly workshop uses the AGV system.

At the same time, the Phase II construction project in Tianjin base is under construction. The project covers an area of 429,200 square meters and features an annual production capacity of 250,000 sedans and SUVs. Consisting of stamping, welding, painting, and assembly workshops and living & office facilities, it will be put into operation late in the next year.

The Phase III project covers a land area of about 1,078,000 square meters and features a planned investment of RMB 4.2 billion. The construction of the project will be initiated in 2013. It will be put into operation in 2015. Supporting facilities covering stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and testing processes for producing 300,000 B-Class sedans and high-end SUVs will be established.

After the completion of the Tianjin base project in 2015, the production capacity of the Great Wall Motors Tianjin base will reach 800,000 vehicles, assuming 40% of the total production capacity. Three models of high-end SUVs and five models high-end cars will be off the assembly line there. It will become an export logistics base with expected output value of more than a hundred of billions.

Double the category-and-brand-based new models Brand with a yearly production of 550,000 vehicles of new models

Great Wall Motors has announced the development goals for 2011 at the beginning of the year. Based on the large leap of development in 2010, greater efforts will be made to promote new models in 2011. It is planned to reach 550,000 vehicles, or even 600,000 vehicles. Expected sale of HAVAL SUV series is 200,000 units. Expected sale of VOLEEX cars is 240,000 units. Expected sale of Wingle pickups is 120,000 units.

A total of 13 new models will be launched into the market in 2011. They include 5 bran-new models and 8 altered models. The main models are: HAVAL series: HAVAL M2 2011, HAVAL M3, HAVAL M4, and high-end urban SUV HAVAL M6, and VOLEEX series: Florid CROSS 2011, VOLEEX C30 2011, VOLEEX C35, VOLEEX C50, and VOLEEX C55.

Enable development in both domestic and international markets

As China's largest manufacturer of HAVAL SUVs and Wingle pickups, Great Wall Motors has held the first place in terms of sale of Wingle pickups for 13 consecutive years in China. HAVAL SUV has held the first place in terms of sale for 8 consecutive years in China. In the VOLEEX car category, the VOLEEX C30 reached a sale of more than 10,000 units three months after the debut. The monthly sale reached 25,000 only six months after the launch to the market. The cumulative sale is more than 70,000 vehicles.

As one of the first Chinese auto brands entering the international market, Great Wall Motors has been among the best for many years in terms of export volume and export value. Up to now, vehicles from Great Wall Motors have been exported to more than 100 countries and regions. Owning 12 existing overseas KD assembly plants, Great Wall Motors will have 24 overseas assembly facilities by 2015, with a production capacity of 500,000 vehicles.
