GWM was Awarded the UN R155 Certificate

Recently, Great Wall Motor Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "GWM") was successfully awarded the UN R155 (UNECE Regulation No. 155) Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) compliance certificate issued by Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), marking that it has industry-leading automotive cyber security management capabilities.

UN R155 is a mandatory regulation on automotive cyber security issued by the United Nations and has come into effective in January 2021. It is required that all new models exported to the EU must meet the requirements of this Regulation since July 2022.

 

Since its establishment, GWM has always been committed to improving cyber security of automobiles, and has carried out multi-directional cyber security design from the cloud side and the vehicle side. By adopting encryption technology, GWM has adopted the cloud, management, and end-to-end protection, network security monitoring and operation to reduce risks such as remote malicious control and protect personal privacy and data security, which has provided users with more reliable cyber security.

The certification of UN R155 Cyber Security Management System this time marks that GWM has built relevant management processes that meet the requirements of international programmatic automotive cyber security laws and regulations, and has industry-leading automotive cyber security management capabilities, which means that GWM has made an important step towards compliance in overseas markets.
