GWM Unveils in Qatar, Showcasing All-Star Family in Doha

On July 2nd local time, Great wall motor (GWM) launched the GWM brand in Doha, the capital of Qatar. At the same time, a grand opening ceremony was held for a new flagship store, where new star family models were unveiled.

In the presence of dozens of media representatives, partners, and guests, representatives from GWM and Teyseer Group jointly pressed the start button, marking the beginning of a new journey for the GWM brand in the Middle East. Amidst enthusiastic applause, the media and guests entered the GWM Doha flagship store, witnessing the official start of the ONE GWM brand era in Qatar.

GWM brand representatives and local dealers delivered speeches. Six GWM star family models were unveiled, including the TANK 500 V6 fuel version, TANK 300 HEV, H6 HEV, ORA 03 pure electric model, GWM POER pickup, and the newly launched star model JOLION Pro, which had its Middle East debut in Saudi Arabia. The ORA 03's appearance in Qatar also marked the brand's debut in the Gulf region.

Notably, the unveiled models covered fuel, hybrid, and pure electric powertrains, highlighting both GWM's flagship products and the ONE GWM intelligent new energy vehicles. This showcased GWM's commitment to sustainability and future-oriented brand image, presenting a full range of products and powertrains covering all scenarios.

As Sunny Bhat, Director of Sales and Marketing for GWM Middle East, stated in his speech at the brand launch event, "Great Wall Motor always adheres to a user-centered approach, continuously leading in various segments through ongoing technology development and product optimization. For example, the HAVAL brand has accumulated global sales of 9 million units, making it a true global SUV expert; the GWM pickup is China's top-selling pickup brand for 26 consecutive years with global acclaim; and the TANK brand, as China's luxury off-road brand, holds over 60% market share in China. ORA, with its design aesthetics and intelligent technology, has won the favor and love of global fans."

Qatar, surrounded on three sides by the sea, boasts both long white sandy beaches and spectacular crescent-shaped dunes, with plains encircled by hills and mountains, creating a stark contrast in geographical landscapes. Locals usually drive on wide, flat urban roads during the week and enjoy outdoor trips to the desert or seaside on weekends. As the country with the highest per capita GDP, Qatar, rich in oil and gas resources, is vigorously developing its energy industry while also implementing the "2030 National Vision" plan. This vision aims to transform Qatar into a sustainable, highly competitive international country with a high standard of living by 2030 through economic diversification. GWM's regional debut of its new energy family models in Qatar aligns with this national vision and meets local users' diversified, greener, and smarter mobility needs.

Before the launch event, many renowned automotive media professionals test-drove several GWM models, including the TANK 300, 500, HAVAL JOLION Pro, GWM POER, and ORA 03. They highly praised GWM's various models. Media representatives noted that the TANK 500 is a vehicle combining luxurious feel and strong performance, suitable for local users' needs. They also regarded the TANK 300 as a rugged off-road vehicle, perfect for dune bashing, with excellent handling that provides a sense of control.

A fashion lifestyle influencer with millions of followers expressed a particular fondness for the ORA 03, appreciating its retro-chic design, exquisite and elegant interior, and intelligent driving configurations. Despite its compact size, the influencer felt the solid and stable craftsmanship upon closing the car door. Learning that the vehicle received five-star safety ratings from both the Australian ANCAP and European NCAP further affirmed GWM's dedication to building high-quality cars.

GWM has been deeply rooted in the Middle East for 27 years. To further enhance local operations, GWM established a regional office in Dubai in early 2022 and a regional parts center in Dubai in early 2023, providing parts supply support to over 20 surrounding countries.
