GWM Overseas Sales Hit Record High with Quality development

On August 1, Great Wall Motor Company Limited (stock code: 601633.SH, 02333.HK, 82333.HK; hereinafter referred to as "GWM") released its sales data for July 2024.

In July, GWM sold 91,285 new cars. Among them, 24,145 new energy models were sold; Overseas sales of 38,185 units, up 41.39% year on year; 22,845 vehicles priced at over 200,000 CNY were sold, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.65%.

From January to July, GWM sold 650,954 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 3.60%. Among them, 156,519 new energy models were sold, a year-on-year increase of 28.14%; Overseas sales reached 239,685 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 58.80%; The sales of models priced at over 200,000 CNY reached 163,378 units, marking a year-on-year increase of 48.64%.

In July, GWM has been adhering to long-termism and focused on quality development. In terms of products, the new generation of HAVAL H6 continued to increase in volume and continued the legend of "national car"; In terms of technology, GWM is constantly improving its intelligence level based on the new generation of intelligent space system Coffee OS 3 and the new generation of intelligent driving system Coffee Pilot Ultra; In terms of marketing, GWM optimized its product mix and achieved both quantity and quality growth. On July 10, GWM released its semi-annual performance forecast for 2024, estimating that the net profit attributable to the owners of the parent company would be 6.5 billion yuan to 7.3 billion yuan, an increase of 377.49% to 436.26% compared with the same period last year.

Advancing Quality Car Manufacturing with Continued Efforts from Five Major Brands

HAVAL sold 52,944 new vehicles in July and 352,682 units cumulatively from January to July. The new generation HAVAL H6, cherished by 4 million users worldwide, offers 1.5T+7DCT and 2.0T+9DCT power combinations, redefining the benchmark for family SUVs and embodying GWM's commitment to quality manufacturing.

WEY's NEV brand sold 22,632 units from January to July. The new WEY 80 model integrates GWM’s new-generation intelligent driving system Coffee Pilot Ultra and smart space system Coffee OS 3, along with a four-speed Hi4+CDC electronic suspension, propelling it into the industry’s top tier of intelligent vehicles and setting a new standard for technological luxury.

TANK SUV sold 18,682 new cars in July, a year-on-year increase of 38.49%; From January to July, a total of 134,720 vehicles were sold, a year-on-year increase of 87.59%.

In July, the TANK 500 Hi4-T received the China Automotive Health Five-Star Certification, and cumulative sales of the TANK 400 Hi4-T surpassed 30,000 units. Recently, the "2024 H1 China Vehicle Retention Rate Report" was released, with the Tank 300 ranking first among compact SUVs.

ORA sold 4,780 new cars in July; Accumulated sales of 36,529 vehicles from January to July. With the great value launch of the 2024 ORA 03 and the 2024 ORA 03 GT Mulan Edition, ORA is focusing on the BEV market and promoting comprehensive advancement from brand, technology to products and services.

GWM pickup sold 12,028 new vehicles in July and 103,944 units from January to July. In 2024, with the launch of the King Kong POER 8AT and the 2.4T GWM POER, GWM continues to strengthen its market advantage and lead the value upgrade of the Chinese pickup segment.

Accelerating "Ecosystem Export," Overseas Sales Hit Record High

Accelerating the "ecosystem export" is a crucial strategic direction for GWM. In July, GWM's overseas sales reached 38,185 units, setting a new monthly sales record for overseas markets.

Leveraging its forest ecosystem, GWM exports the most comprehensive product matrix, spanning all categories, powertrains, and scenarios, establishing a new model for comprehensive overseas operations encompassing research, production, supply, sales, and service. With over 14 million global users, cumulative overseas sales exceeding 1.6 million units, and more than 1,000 overseas sales outlets, the proportion of high-end models is steadily increasing, demonstrating significant achievements in "ecosystem export."

In July, GWM accelerated launching of its overseas products. The TANK 300 was launched in Malaysia and Azerbaijan, and the TANK 500 was launched in Chile, providing local users with a new rugged off-road experience. The HAVAL DARGO was launched in Uzbekistan, becoming a trendy new product in the local car market. During the Jakarta Auto Show in Indonesia, GWM showcased multiple brands including HAVAL, TANK SUV, and ORA, attracting significant attention. Simultaneously, GWM accelerated the expansion of its overseas channels, introducing model of “car experience center in shopping malls” to Kazakhstan for the first time.
