GWM News 2025-11-22

GUANGZHOU, China – Nov. 21, 2025 – GWM made a powerful appearance at the 23rd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, presenting more than 30 vehicles across its six major product lineups – HAVAL, WEY, TANK, ORA, POER, and SOUO Motorcycles.

The GWM booth attracted special attention from a delegation of European automotive media and investors, including representatives from Italy and Spain. After experiencing GWM’s latest technologies and models, the visitors expressed strong approval, noting that the Chinese automaker is demonstrating a forward-thinking vision for mobility, centered around a “tech for life” philosophy that makes every journey an experience to enjoy.

All Scenarios All Powertrains All Users

At the show, GWM unveiled a wide range of products, including the 2026 HAVAL Menglong, 2026 HAVAL DARGO, HAVAL H6L, all-new WEY G9, all-new WEY 07, 2025 TANK 300, all-new TANK 400, all-new TANK 500, ORA 5, SAHAR POER Hi4-T, 2026 GWM POER, and the GWM SOUO Cruiser S2000CL, among other spotlight models—once again proving GWM’s robust product capabilities.

A clear standout was the recently launched ORA 5, an all-electric SUV born global. It's a true "smart and trendy SUV" that is winning over young drivers. With its unique "Natural Aesthetics" design and practical technology, it's the perfect partner for a stylish and explorative lifestyle. The model also drew strong interest from international investors looking to bring it to their markets.

The GWM TANK 300 Polar Edition made a major debut at the show. All 300 limited units sold out in just 15 minutes. This special model was co-created with fans after a TANK 300 was chosen for a Chinese Antarctic expedition. It features unique decals and is packed with exclusive gear for extreme cold, making it a practical yet tough choice for off-road lovers in harsh environments. This limited vehicle carries the passion of its community and a spirit of adventure.

The 2026 HAVAL Menglong, equipped with the latest Hi4-T hybrid system, also became a star of the show. Since its launch, the model has achieved remarkable success, with cumulative sales exceeding 150,000 units and securing the segment sales championship 11 times. Its classic boxy design and robust off-road capabilities have earned strong market recognition. At the event, three Menglong owners shared personal stories of their boundary-breaking, self-expressive lifestyles with it.

The all-new WEY G9 has innovatively launched three variants in the Chinese market, carefully tailored to meet the needs of different family lifestyles. The model comes standard with the Hi4 technology, recently honored with the "Special Prize of the Science and Technology Award" by the China Society of Automotive Engineers. This system redefines the hybrid 4WD standard by delivering the performance of four-wheel drive with the energy consumption of two-wheel drive.

Since its debut, the all-new WEY G9 has topped the MPV sales charts for two consecutive months, proving its status as the true “MVP among MPVs” and establishing itself as a smart companion that truly understands its users. The model is set to appear at the Thailand International Motor Expo later this month, with plans to officially launch in markets such as Thailand and Malaysia early next year.

GWM Unveils VLA Driving Model in Major Tech Breakthrough

Crowds gathered around the Hi4 Technology Pavilion, Hi4 Dujiangyan Smart Display Terminal, and interaction zones, where visitors experienced GWM’s technological strength firsthand.

In intelligent driving, GWM adheres to the principle of “Safety First, Safety Above All”, pushing advancements across algorithms, data, and computing power, making it a leader within the industry.

At the show, GWM CTO Nicole Wu officially released its VLA Assisted-Driving Foundation Model, previewing the upcoming CP Master ADAS system. The VLA model offers four core strengths: understanding natural commands, detecting hidden dangers, performing logical reasoning, and building user trust. CP Master will first be applied to WEY New Energy models.

“GWM impressively shows an entire ecosystem of technologies, proving its strong R&D and innovation power” said a visiting Italian journalist. European investors added: “GWM demonstrates that it understands different market needs. We are confident about GWM’s path to the European market.”

The visit by these European professionals was no coincidence. GWM is determined to expand its presence in Europe to more markets from next year, introducing at least 7 new models. GWM's footprint now spans more than 170 countries and regions, supported by a network of over 1,400 overseas dealers serving more than 15 million global customers. With 13 major R&D centers and 13 production bases worldwide, this extensive global presence has firmly established the brand's international identity and recognition.

Blending Technology with Culture to Build Global Influence

The GWM booth skillfully integrated elements of Lingnan culture. Daily performances of Yingge dance, an energetic traditional routine with drums and dynamic movements, drew enthusiastic crowds. A DIY pressed-flower station let visitors create their own local crafts, while a specialty coffee bar offered creative drinks infused with regional flavors like lychee and longan.

"This is more than an auto booth; it feels like a cultural experience," shared an investor at the scene. "GWM proves that technology and culture can coexist in harmony."

Integrating Chinese culture has become a key part of GWM's global strategy. Following previous themes highlighting Dujiangyan's hydraulic engineering and Dunhuang's Silk Road heritage, this creative interpretation of Lingnan culture demonstrates the growing confidence and creativity of Chinese brands in sharing their cultural story with the world.

At the Guangzhou Auto Show, GWM presented the world with a complete brand vision: the technical strength represented by its VLA model, the product appeal of models like the ORA 5, WEY G9, and TANK 300 Polar Edition, and the cultural touch embodied in the Lingnan cultural experience. Together, these elements create a new paradigm for a global automotive brand—where technology makes mobility a pleasure, and culture gives the brand its soul.

As more European media and investors deepen their understanding, GWM's globalization story is entering a new phase. With solid and determined steps, the company is steadily advancing toward its goal of becoming the most influential Chinese automotive brand worldwide.
