As for its specifications, the Haval H4 measures 4.4m in length, with a 2,660 mm wheelbase. Its most powerful unit is powered by a 170 hp, 1.5 turbo-petrol engine and comes with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Haval H6, on the other hand, is a bigger model based on the same platform as the H4. It will stretch to a length of 4.6m and will have a wheelbase of 2,680mm. It will also be backed by more powerful 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines and will possibly come with a four-wheel-drive system. The largest of the three is the Haval H9 with a 4.8m length that will likely compete with Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner in India. With extreme off-roading capabilities, the H9 promises an impressive 206mm of ground clearance and a loaded off-roading kit.
It will be interesting to see Great Wall’s strategy in the Indian market as and when it decides to bring its products here. Since this is the highest competing segment in the country’s market, the response to H4 in 2021 will likely help the company decide for its other products too.
