GWM registers the sales of 66,000 units in October, up 15% year on year

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) has recently released automobile production and sales information. In October, the Chinese markets registered a total output of 1.916 million units and total sales of 1.9326 million units, edging down compared to September; and the total output and sales of passenger vehicles in October were slightly higher than those in September, making passenger vehicle the main driving force of vehicle output and sales growth in October. GWM registered monthly sales of 66,000 units, up 15 percent year on year, ranking 7th in China's auto industry and 1st among Chinese independent brands. In the first ten months, GWM sold 621,000 units, up 26 percent year on year, fulfilling 89 percent of the sales target in 2013.

In segments, Great Wall SUV performed strongly in October with sales of 38,000 units, up 28 percent year on year, claiming the title among SUV models in monthly sales. In single models, Great Wall H6 achieved record sales of 21,000 units, up 41 percent year on year, thus becoming a champion with sales of over 20,000 units for straight months. Great Wall M4 contributed the monthly sales of 12,000 units, up nearly 50 percent year on year. In the first ten months, accumulatively 336,000 SUV units were sold, up 53 percent year on year.

Besides, GWM's performance in the passenger car segment was also striking in October, registering sales of 19,000 units, up 11 percent year on year. Great Wall C30 resumed to the level of over 10,000 units, up 2 percent year on year, and its cumulative sales have topped 470,000 units since its launch. Great Wall C50 achieved the monthly record sales of 7,000 units since its launch. With the release of production capacity, GWM's passenger car sales are expected to further advance. In the first ten months, GWM registered cumulative passenger car sales of 178,000 units, up 10 percent year on year.

According to industry experts, the most direct reason for GWM's continuous sales growth is that it has focused on segments and implemented stagger competition. GWM has set a work objective of taking "Customer Satisfaction" as evaluation criterion, orienting manpower, financial and resources on customer satisfaction, and creating more surprises for customers, thus promoting the GWM brand by enhancing its terminal image and injecting power into GWM's sustainable development.
