On September 1st, 2009, Greatwall Autos S.A., the distributor of Great Wall Motors in Costa Rica successfully held the FLORID 1.5L VVT launching ceremony in San Jose, and mass media was invited.

At 19:30 p.m. September 1st, the ceremony started with the presentation of Mr. Javier Collado who is the president of Greatwall Autos S.A. And the warming-up dragon dance in oriental style attracted the audience immersed in more expectation. When the dance reached to the ultimate climax, FLORID's cover was unveiled by the dancers. With the spotlights opened and focused on the vehicle, FLORID formally debuted in Costa Rica. At that moment the photographers started to take pictures and the mass media people started to make theirs interviews to Mr. Javier Collado. By close view and touch to FLORID, people attended the ceremony had very good comments to the car.

FLORID is a new passenger car of Great Wall Motors, which could be equipped with 1.3L and 1.5L two kinds of engine. Besides, compared with other cars in same class, VVT technology adopted on the engine greatly enhanced the overall vehicle performance of FLORID. Through this launching ceremony, not only this new car was well promoted, but the confidence of distributor and customers to Great Wall Motors brand became much more consolidated.
