From 11th to 14th June 2009, Eurapac Trading Company Ltd and NCMOTORS, New Caledonia-based distributor of Great Wall Motor, attended the 18th Annual 4wd Auto-Show (SALON DU 4X4) held in Noumea, capital of New Caledonia. SALON DU 4X4 is the most important and most influential event to the local auto industry. Most of the auto brands existed in the local market participated in this auto show. The visitors flow volume at this grand auto show was up to 10000 per day.
In order to upgrade the Great Wall brands and to improve the efficiency at the highest level, Eurapac Trading Company Ltd and NCMOTORS previously released a variety of propaganda activities through local newspapers, local magazines and public boards as well (a big board next to the main activity area). And meanwhile, they published the Hover test outcome in the local magazine named AUTO (which is a reference for whom wants to purchase a car since all the vehicle tests as well as new car models are announced through this local review). On the radio (NRJ - RRB), they also broadcasted an announcement to attract a large public.

At this auto show, 3 models (Deer, Wingle, Hover), a total of 6 vehicles were exhibited. Great Wall booth was located at the best position (at the fair main entrance/exit), so all the visitors passed by the Great Wall Stand.

Worth-mentioning was that the Hover was successfully launched into the New Caledonia market by this auto show. A kind of innovated marketing activity was made for the Hover’s debut, i.e. the soft energy drink with the Hover and Great Wall Logo image, attracting a lot of people at the auto show.

A total of 27 Great wall vehicles were sold out during the auto show, 10 units out of them were Hover, which means Hover’s successfully penetrating into the New Caledonia market following the Great Wall pickup taking about 8% of New Caledonia pickup market share. Great Wall Motor has really become a strong and popular brand in the local market.
