Great Wall Motors makes list of "2014 Most Valuable Chinese Brands"

Great Wall Motors made the list for the fourth consecutive time with a brand value of 3.064 billion yuan, ranking 43rd. No automakers but Great Wall Motors and Dongfeng made the list.

Since Interbrand initiated brand value studies in the industry in 1988, its analytic system has been recognized as a tool of special strategic management value in the industry. The list of "2014 Most Valuable Chinese Brands" marks Interbrand's seventh time to use its original method of brand valuation to select China's 50 most valuable brands on the basis of the financial data audited by an independent third party and mass consumer studies and market data, showing the future net present value of the listed brands at the end of 2013.
According to experts, Interbrand's method of brand valuation comprehensively measures brands' business value based on ten indicators including financial analysis, role of brand and brand strength. The list of "Most Valuable Chinese Brands" is currently the most authoritative of its kind in China, which duly captures market and brand trends so as to become the weathervane for the development of Chinese industrial brands and the important basis of measuring brand value. According to the source, in recent years, Great Wall Motors has implemented the strategies of "customer satisfaction" and "focus", developed steadily, built brand value based on consumer demands, and refined categories, so as to increase its brand value steadily and maintain business growth. In the first three quarters of 2014, Great Wall Motors registered operating revenues of 42.586 billion yuan, up 4.44 percent year on year. According to sales data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Great Wall Motors sold 70,600 units in October, climbing to 7th in the industry.
