GWM concludes strategic cooperation agreement with Kostal
GWM has recently concluded a strategic cooperation agreement with Kostal, Germany. Under the agreement, the two parties will carry out strategic cooperation in fields such as traditional electromechanical products, comfortable and safe electronic products, and innovative technologies.
GWM has recently concluded a strategic cooperation agreement with Kostal, Germany. Under the agreement, the two parties will carry out strategic cooperation in fields such as traditional electromechanical products, comfortable and safe electronic products, and innovative technologies. Present at the signing ceremony were Huang Yong, director of Great Wall Technical Center; Zhao Guoqing, vice president of GWM; as well as President Lyu Keqin and Vice President Martinez of Kostal Asia.
Since 2006, Kostal has supplied seat adjustment switches to GWM, opening up the way of cooperation. In recent years, the relations have been deepened constantly and GWM's star models like Great Wall H6, Great Wall H5 and Great Wall C50 have carried Kostal's advanced products like rain and light sensors, PEPS, combined switches and door & window switches. According to GWM's person in charge, GWM will use more advanced technologies from Kostal on existing and future models.
At the signing ceremony, Lyu noted, after over a decade of development, Kostal has owned an R & D team of over 600 members and has begun to design and develop products for European and American customers. GWM is distinctive in the industry in terms of capital control capacity and team building, and preserves in brand building. Kostal will offer all-round support to GWM by its technical advantage in the field of its products; hopefully, the two parties will cement cooperation in the future and temper the R & D teams of both parties in cooperation to satisfy the future need of the auto industry.
According to sources, International technical cooperation is a characteristic of GWM's technical R & D. To improve product quality, GWM has persistently integrated global top technical cooperation resources for independent innovation: to date, GWM has carried out strategic cooperation with a dozen major matching groups like Bosch, BorgWarner, Delphi and Valeo with the content of cooperation upgrading from product matching to product R & D, thus accomplishing technical cooperation and R & D innovation in more fields.
